👩‍🏫 CTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

1. For Primary Teacher (Class I to V)

Candidates must have:

  • Passed Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and completed or pursuing 2-year D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education),
    OR

  • Passed B.El.Ed or D.Ed (Special Education) with 50% marks.

2. For Upper Primary Teacher (Class VI to VIII)

Candidates must have:

  • Completed Graduation with at least 50% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed or B.Ed,
    OR

  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1-year B.Ed (as per NCTE norms).

Note: Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 can be attempted by candidates who wish to teach Classes I–VIII.
