Eligibility Criteria

Students must satisfy the scheduled eligibility criteria in advance applying for AIIMS B.Sc admission 2020. Following are the information of AIIMS B.Sc admission 2020 eligibility requirements:

For B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing, B.Sc. (H) Medical Technology in Radiography and Bachelor in Optometry programmes:

1). Only Indian citizen.

2). The candidate’s least age limit must be 17 years as on the session of admission (Applicants born or after 2nd January, 2002 are not concerned able to apply)

3). For B.Sc (Hons) Nursing programme, applicant must have complete 12th class exam under the 10+2 format or Intermediate Science or its equivalent examination with Chemistry, English, Physics and Biology from a recognized/applicable Board/University of any Indian State. He/she must gained 55% marks at least (50% for students belonging to ST/SC categories)

4). Aspirants who are looking for admission to Bachelor of Optometry and B.Sc (Hons) Medical Technology in Radiography courses must have complete 10+2 or equivalent examination by scoring with Chemistry, English, Physics and either Biology or Mathematics. He/she must acquire 50% marks at least (45% for students belonging to ST/SC categories)

5). Appearing students or/and those waiting for the results of qualifying examination are also able to apply. However, such applicants must present his/her proof of passing the qualifying examination with least required marks & subjects during counselling failing which his/her application will be rejected.

Note: For B.Sc (Hons) Nursing field, female applicants can apply only.

Eligibility for B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic):

Aspirants must have complete 12th class under 10+2 structure of education or an equivalent examination with least qualifying examination from a recognized University/Board.

Students possessing diploma in Midwifery and General nursing from any institution approved/recognized by INC (Indian Nursing Council) are able to apply.

Applicants must be a registered midwife, registered nurse with any State Nursing Council.

In case of male nurses, besides being registered as a nurse with State Nursing Council, they must hold a certificate in General Nursing and also Training in Midwifery, training in any of the below subject, for at least period of 6 months:

T. Techniques, Leprosy Nursing, Ophthalmic Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Neurological, TB Nursing and Neuro Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Cancer Nursing, orthopedic Nursing.

Selection Procedure

Admission to AIIMS B.Sc courses will be possible entirely on the source of student’s performance in the Entrance Examination to be directed in Delhi/ NCR. As per to decision of the Academic Committee in its satisfying the least cut-off will be 50% (for all PG Courses) in the competitive gateway examination as a order of eligibility for all applicants.


AIIMS, New Delhi Seat Reservation as follows:

Other Backward Class (OBC): 27%
Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%

If the needed number which is suitable for the aspirants is not vacant to fill the reserved seats for the ST (Scheduled Castes) category, this is same filled by those aspirants who are belong to ST (Scheduled Tribes) category and/or preceding other way round.

If in case all applicable students are from the two said reserved categories, the available seats would be filled up by the general category candidates. In case the candidates are not belong to OBC category (reserved category), the same  process will be applied by the aspirants from the general candidates.

Indian Nationals: Orthopaedic physically handicapped candidates will be have 3% reservation would be given on the basis of horizontal, from the advertised seats.
